Car Air Conditioning FAQS
J & K's Mechanical are well placed to arrange all of your Automotive Air Conditioner Re-gas, Repairs, Inspection and Servicing needs
Car air conditioning uses refrigerant to pull the heat from the air within the interior area of the car outside, leaving only cooled or 'conditioned' air behind to be recirculated. It is important to conduct a regular inspection of the condition of the rubber seals for any signs of leaks or cracks which could be causing a loss of refrigerant.
To compensate for this issue the refrigerant in your Vehicle Air Conditioner system should ideally be recharged completely within four years of the manufacture date and every two to three years after that.
You should drop off your vehicle to a qualified workshop such as J & K's Mechanical on a regular basis to ensure the air conditioner system continues performing correctly as well as having the mechanics check the condition of the whole vehicle.
Repco Authorised Service mechanics perform a 65 point Vehicle Inspection with every service and are usually able to give you a warning about any items that may need renewing in the near future or those that are already damaged beyond repair.
